Are you a Head of Planning or Senior Planner looking to progress but feeling there's nowhere to grow?
Would you be interested in joining a major highways organisation with multi-billion pounds programme of works, that has established a new role for a Head of Planning?
This role has been established along with other heads of professions to provide a 'subject matter expert' resource to the planning community within the organisation, to help establish and maintain an excellent planning service across all portfolios of work throughout the organisation.
This role is a strategic role, established to provide advice, guidance and insight to Planners working on major projects, thinking and acting strategically on planning and scheduling issues, providing best practice to planning teams, and acting as the main point of contact for company wide planning issues.
Experience of heading the planning function for major capital projects would be a requirement, with excellent up-to-date knowledge of all planning and scheduling issues. The ability to drive strategic improvement plans would be required with the ability to communicate well with internal stakeholders and be the face of the planning function with key external stakeholders. Understanding of L&D and mentoring large teams would be required as would professional certifications or memberships in planning, scheduling or project controls.
