As part of your day-to-day role, you are responsible for the following;
- Work within the Transportation sector as professional planning lead for associated Signalling, Telecoms, Power and Minor Civil Engineering projects
- Manage the planning for a portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects
- Responsible for line management of the planning department ensuring members of the team are undertaking their duties and support where necessary
- Review and production of planning and scheduling procedures ensuring best practice
- Responsible for resourcing the Planning requirements to meet business needs
- Lead and manage periodic resource forecasting for all projects and disciplines within the sector, in particular critical resources.
- Assurance of the planning deliverables for all projects at both tender and contract award
- Assurance of the planning deliverables post contract award
- Coach and mentor Linbrooke Services existing P6 planners
- P6 planning to support bids and tender as well as live projects
- Lead the production and assurance of planning data to support the MBR process
- Lead the production and maintenance of planning information in BI and SharePoint
- Work closely with Clients as the SPOC for all planning requirements and communicate and cascade requirements to the planning team adapting local procedures as required
- Lead the production and review of the planning handbook

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCE
Essential
- Experience of the planning and delivering through all stages of whole project lifecycle
- Demonstrable experience resource planning for portfolio of projects
- Demonstrable experience of integrated planning in depth understanding of design interface schedules of multi-disciplinary projects
- In depth understanding and experience of Network Rail’s application of PACE and GRIP
- Understand Client planning requirements in terms of documentation and deliverables as per the contracted works
- Expert working knowledge of planning software including Primavera P6, FUSE and MS Project and Pertmaster
- Experience of management and leadership of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
