What will I be doing?

In this role you will support both bid and delivery teams in the production of tender and project programmes using Primavera P6 software, ensuring you periodically review and update project progress producing reports in line with internal and contractual requirements. You will work with technical leads to identify opportunity within programmes reporting on risk and opportunity, as well as support the commercial team with time and impact analysis for change events. On a day to day basis, your role will involve:

  • Developing tender and project programmes.
  • Reporting and evaluating project progress.
  • Communicating and coordinating with all teams to ensure time & cost-effective execution.
  • Attending bid and project progress meetings to collate information for programme production and updates.
  • Identifying and predicting problem areas and provide viable and intuitive solutions.
  • Supporting the Project Managers in reporting the performance measurements.
  • Conducting weekly progress reports for a variety of stakeholders
  • Logging project timelines and maintain the database of tasks and their status.
  • Producing, updating, and maintaining Project Plans and liaising with the technical leads to ensure all plans are realistic, achievable and adhere to works information.
  • Critical path analysis and earned value management.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels to understand and respond to project stakeholders.
  • A methodical approach to planning activities Where required attend training and competency development courses as directed by the Company.
  • Achieve as a minimum the objectives and KPI’s set by the business and line manager, conduct open and honest discussions with line manager at monthly 1-2-1 meetings on successes / improvements in the role.
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of self and others who may be affected by acts or omissions related to your work. Co-operate fully with the management of the Company regarding any duty or requirement imposed on them by the relevant Health and Safety legislation to allow through the correct reporting chain immediately that you are aware of any occurrence.

What experience & qualifications would we like you to have?

The successful candidate should hold experience of working within a design and build environment, successfully scheduling works of multi-disciplinary nature. Experience in working on multi-disciplinary projects to NR/L2/INl/02009 Engineering Management for projects in the rail sector.

Your application should demonstrate business to business customer service experience, coupled with good communication skills and experience of working to set procedures / processes along with excellent communication, people, and team management skills

Essential qualifications

Basic Primavera P6 and Microsoft project experience is essential for this role.
