THE COMPANY
You could get the opportunity of a lifetime to work for this Global Engineering and Technology business. Their UK operation employs around 600 people covering existing and “start-up” operations spanning eight locations including several depots across the country including a vast manufacturing facility here in the UK.
The company have secured a number of high profile orders with full lifecycle maintenance contracts to manufacture and maintain over 200 brand new trains and as a result, will look to increase their headcount to 2000 by 2020 to meet the demands of these contracts.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
This Material Planner job poses and excellent opportunity to bolster your CV by working for a top-flight OEM supporting the manufacture of some seriously high value capital machinery. You’ll put your organisational flair and initiative to good use make sure the manufacturing team have the requisite materials to meet the production demands.
ABOUT THE JOB
As the Material Planner, you will analyse data to determine opportunities to decrease the stock on site, improve production levels and reduce costs where you can. You’ll keep a watchful eye on all materials conducting regular stock checks and reporting on any variances to the Materials Manager. This is great opportunity to provide some input into the strategy for existing material items, new products being introduced onto site and the phasing out of old stock. And finally, you’ll also produce statistical reports on supplier performance and inventory accuracy, what more could you ask for?!
THE REQUIREMENTS
You’re the Material Planner I am looking for if you can demonstrate a track record in a similar role in a manufacturing environment. You will also need experience working with a computerised inventory control systems-ideally SAP and a wiz with Microsoft. Note this is a fixed term contract that will run till June 2018.

£30k + Pension + Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + BH
