I am working with a leading rail organisation and client who are looking for an Operations and Planning Interface Specialist to join them on an initial 6 months contract (paying 600 - 650 per day Inside IR35). The role will involve reviewing current and future train assumptions, and ensuring the output meets the operational vision for the introduction into service.
The role will involve:
1. Managing operational and planning activities which include:
3. Take operation and planning lead on interfaces with external and internal stakeholders relating to project areas
4. Report on project progress (reports and papers) to Contrct Board, Programme Board and other similar boards.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Railway specific operations planning software including TRACS-RS, TrainTRACS, Attune
- UK Railway geography knowledge
- Railway signalling systems, infrastructure design including track, electrification and stations experience
- Train Planning rules knowledge
- Timetable modelling and development knowledge
- Scenario modelling using Railsys, RailPlan, Tracsys systems or other industry modelling tools

- Integration of high speed services with the conventional rail network
- Rolling stock circulation planning
- Traincrew diagramming
- Stabling and train servicing planning
3. Take operation and planning lead on interfaces with external and internal stakeholders relating to project areas
4. Report on project progress (reports and papers) to Contrct Board, Programme Board and other similar boards.
