My Client, a leading company within the Environmental, Engineering, and Construction sector are looking for a highly motivated Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and putting together programmes for NEC Contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience within P6, Microsoft Project, and Asta.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has ambition to lead and build their Planning team, which as a standalone division is in its infancy stage. Giving the ideal candidate the autonomy to shape and grow the team accordingly.
The opportunity lends itself to Hybrid working, which will be from the office (Burton), Site compounds - Broadly Midlands based, and home.
***Previous experince with NEC contracts is essential***
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analyze project progress and develop recovery plans as necessary.
- Provide project management with regular updates on project progress and any potential issues.
- Work closely with the project team to identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers on planning-related matters.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Planner in the Environmental, Engineering, and Construction sector.
- Expertise in P6, Microsoft Project, and/or Asta is essential.
- Experience in preparing and putting together Programmes for NEC Contracts - Essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Flexibility to work in the office, on-site, and from home.
