Possessions Planner

Location – South London

Day Rate - £300 - 320 per day Via Umbrella (Inside IR35)

Contract Length - 12 months

My client is currently looking for a Possessions Planner to join their team out of the South London area.

The ideal Possessions Planner responsibilities will be:

  • Deliver all aspects of Engineering Access Planning, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective planning of engineering access.
  • Liaise closely with the Planner and Construction Manager to optimise work programme
  • Identify available possessions and submit possession requests in line with Network Rail possession planning timescales using the PPS system.
  • Liaise with and request all Line Blockages from the GZAC.
  • Ensure COSS/Supervisor on SSOW plan ensuring their understanding and ensure SSOW authorisation by a Responsible Manager.
  • Review possession utilisation and identify discrepancies from planned to the Project Manager
  • On publication of the Weekly Operating Notices and Isolation Plans, check the details comply with the works requirements ensuring any errors are corrected.
  • Maintain a possession schedule and liaise closely with the P6 planner to ensure programmes are accurately maintained.
  • Establish good working knowledge of the geographical railway infrastructure, for the area of project/works.
  • Represent the client and declare work plans and scope at integration meetings with client and other contractors on the project. This includes Whiteboard meeting, works integration meetings, DWWP T- meetings and possession planning meetings.
  • Liaise between the Project and Package Managers with regards programme integration and confirming access.
  • Manage and accurately maintain programme box plan, MS possession programme and feed into integration documentation such as presentations.
  • Identify and organise safety critical staff requirements to implement SSOW. Allocate staff to works and request labour from the Resource Manager.
  • Manage the project roster, maintain the work schedule and represent the project at weekly PDR meeting.
  • Plan Safe Systems of Work and undertake the role of Planner in accordance with Network Rail standards.
  • Preparation and collation of site documentation including Task Briefing Sheets and Safe Work Packs (SWP), permits accurately and on time and ensure documentation is returned and maintained.
  • Responsible for submitting requests for engineering trains.
  • Complete weekly readiness review and IPSNE reporting prior to works.

Requirements

  • Hold PTS (Must)
  • Track competences relevant to role (Safe System of Work Planner, SWL2, ES, SWL1, COSS, IWA,)
  • Previous Possession Planner experience
  • Previous SSOW planner experience
  • Sound working knowledge of engineering access planning tools (including PPS, Green Zone Planner, Sectional Appendix, Train Planning, Electrical Isolation booking process, Engineering Access Statement and on-trac/e-pic systems)
