About the Role

As a Senior Possession Planner, you’ll be the backbone of safe and efficient rail operations, ensuring seamless coordination of possessions while upholding the highest safety standards. Your work will directly contribute to minimizing disruptions and enhancing network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of Safe Systems of Work (SSOWP), aligning with Network Rail standards to guarantee compliance and safety.
  • Innovate access strategies: Coordinate possession resources, book critical infrastructure access, and lead possession meetings to optimize timelines.
  • Master the Possession Planning System (PPS): Maintain meticulous records, validate licences/qualifications, and ensure 100% compliance with industry legislation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve challenges and deliver results.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Identify process efficiencies and leverage RailHub expertise to elevate planning accuracy.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in rail possession planning, including hands-on use of PPS and SSOWP frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Network Rail standards, access planning, and safety protocols.
  • Advanced IT proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) and ability to analyse complex data.
  • RailHub competency certification (non-negotiable).
