Due to an increase in work, our client UK’s leading provider of construction and engineering services to the rail network, is seeking to employ a SSOW Planners to be based from their Leeds office (hybrid working, mostly WFH) working on a major project in the North of England.

Our client is interested in speaking to individuals that have a strong background in SSOW planning and are well versed in operating within the rail infrastructure (ideally someone that has delivered work on site and has held a minimum of COSS certification).

Responsibilities of the SSOW Planner:

• Produce / check SSOW plans with appropriate planning, safety and performance measures applied

• Responsibility for planning all access activities and managing the required resources

• Apply appropriate planning, safety and performance measures to all required engineering activities

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of possession arrangements

• Attend Network Rail possession/territory meetings to ensure necessary track access is obtained

• Book/confirm appropriate possession resources and plant/equipment within timescales

• Identify engineering access risks and put in place mitigation measures, throughout the possession lifecycle

This is an immediate freelance opportunity with remote working and a long term duration to the contract, this role could also become permanent after 6 months of contract working.
