We currently working with a major rail engineering consultancy, who are looking to expand their Project Controls Team by recruiting a Senior Planner, based in Manchester on a hybrid basis. As the Senior Planner, you will be responsible for the planning of the programme on a project as well as managing solutions for your team and clients.

- Building relationships with a limited set of common clients and maintaining regular contact with them.
- Representing Project Controls, attend and present during client progress meetings.
- Producing compliant programmes that are logically robust, cost and resource loaded and covers the full scope of work across all stages of the project.
- Providing project performance data, project schedules and reports in a concise and timely manner.
- Ensuring all planning processes and procedures are fully implemented on the project.
- Identifying project risks, deviations and slippages; reports and communicate issues to senior members of the Project Controls and Project Management team.
- Understanding the workload, prioritising and allocating work.
- Identifying and managing key input and output milestones.
- Identifying key internal interfaces and third-party interfaces.
- Checking programme achievements and provide constructive feedback, leadership and management.
- Analysing current and future workloads to ensure Planning commitments can be achieved.
- Conducting risk workshops and undertake Schedule Risk analysis and present results.
- Ensuring Earned Value Management processes are followed data analysis and trend analysis.
- Providing regular supervision to junior members of the team as required.
Job Requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Having experience in managing programmes within major infrastructure projects.
- Being competent in Primavera.
- Understanding multi-disciplinary co-ordination across major infrastructure projects and global design teams.
- Developing innovative programming and reporting solutions.
