Electrical Maintenance Team Members in Manchester, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom
Rullion have an exciting opportunity for 4 x Electrical Trained Fitters to work with a world leading rolling stock company, based out of a large rail depot in Manchester.
We are looking for Electrically qualified fitters with an NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / Maintenance or with an equivalent qualificaiton and with strong electrical and mechanical skills.
These roles are to working with a new rolling stock fleet that operate over the North of England on maintenance and exam teams. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in Rolling Stock if not done so before.
These roles are upto 6 months with the potential of going long term.
Shift Patterns are on Days Only:
07:30 to 15:30 hours Monday to Friday.
Rates are:
first 12 weeks - £21.89 per hour umbrella
post 12 weeks - £26.26 per hour umbrella
Previous rail/rolling stock experience is advantageous for this position, but experience in a similar industry will be considered, such as aerospace, HGV or military vehicles and heavy plant.
Description:
Responsibilities:
Designated Person for Protection duties. Fuelling and system top up. (if required) General depot duties e.g.: Line of Routes. Chlorinating water points. (if required) Primary fault finding/reporting. Basic maintenance competency e.g.: side skirt cleans, brake pads, block changes etc. Gritting of walkways in severe weather conditions and/or exceptional circumstances. Electrical service exams.
Driving company vehicles if certified. Taking of fuel meter readings off rail vehicles. Train cleaning by exception (This will have no impact on Cleaners headcount). Alista, SAP and SES input. CMS logbook to be updated accordingly. Crane driving and lifting equipment where training has been provided & competent. Appointed persons. Mentoring others as and when required. Nominated person as required. Additional training for future similar roles/types of equipment. Corrective maintenance (Electrical or Mechanical, Coach Repairing & Plumbing) Preventative maintenance (Electrical or Mechanical, Coach Repairing & Plumbing) Secondary fault finding. Depot or fleet specific requirements where required: To be Authorised person where required Wheel Lathe Operator Workshop repairs Hotel standards Understand and abide by safety notices, rules & regulations and follow safe working practices, H&SAWA and COSHH.
You will be required to undertake a D&A due to working in a safety critcial environment.
PPE will be provided by Rullion.
