Job Title HV Team Manager (OHLE)
Job purpose / objective:
As a Team Manager, you will deputise for the Assistant E&M Maintenance Manager in all matters relative to the OHLE maintenance. You will be responsible for carrying out and maintaining all inspection, tests, repairs and maintenance records, together with assisting in upgrading the annual maintenance plan for the same.
You will be directly responsible for supervising all work and resources in relation to the above activities including: OHLE, bonding, electrical supplies and services and portable electrical equipment.
Accountable to:
Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Manager, Assistant E&M Maintenance Manager
Responsible for:
HV Technicians
Main working relationships:
E&M Maintenance Manager, Assistant E&M Maintenance Manager, HV Technicians, NMC as and when required.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities Supervising:
- Carry out employee appraisals
- Carry out an element of training for both OHLE and other staff including contractors where training is deemed to be the responsibility of the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Manager
Testing:
- OHLE maintenance and fault analysis
Reporting:
- Undertake investigations as and when required
- Report on incidents and failures
Planning:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of all aspects of work on behalf of the Electrical Section and any sub-contractors utilised for that purpose
- Produce Permits to Work, Switching Programmes, Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Set up new procedures and revised/new maintenance routines
Administration:
- Assist in the day to day administrative tasks associated with the section
- Use Agility software
- Use Cascade to authorise holidays and timesheets when required
Core skills/experience/qualifications required for this job Essential:
- A full driving licence
- HT competence
- A PTS trained PICOP and PIC
- OHL Switcher
- Experience preparing Permits to Work and other safety documentation
- Experience writing switching programmes
