The role – Installation Team Member OLE

You will be responsible for various tasks undertaken by the Capital Delivery section, involved in the renewal of the overhead line system and associated power supplies equipment. This will include vegetation clearance, cleaning, painting and repair of structures, component assembly and installation, and the replacement of Contact & Catenary wires.

There is a requirement to work unsocial hours including nightshift working.

A recognised qualification or previous experience in Power supplies and/or Overhead Line Engineering would be desirable. A full current Driving Licence is necessary for this post, and a HGV licence would be an advantage.

It is desirable that you have Senior Authorisation Level Switching Overhead Line although training would be provided.

The person

• You will carry out driving duties and to routinely check all vehicle log sheets and ensure that procedures are being adhered to correctly.
• You must have demonstrable experience of and competence with all work processes associated with OLE disciplines. You will have an in-depth knowledge of and experience with equipment and systems for which the Capital Delivery team is responsible for.
• You must be available for Standby and Call Out Duties.
• You must have a current UK driving licence and have or be working towards Class C, Class C+E.
