Rullion have a great opportunity for 4 x Mechanical Fitters to be part of a Rail Rolling Stock maintenance overhaul project in Manchester with a world leading rail company. Rolling Stock Experience is not essential. Please read on.

Start Date: ASAP
End Date: May 2023

Hours:
Days - Monday to Friday 48 hours per week
Nights - Monday to Thursday 40 hours per week

Rates:
£25.55 per hour - (First 12 weeks) - Umbrella Rate Quoted
£26.81 per hour (After 12 weeks) - Umbrella Rate Quoated

This role is inside of IR35, therefore Limited Payment Company is not an option. Only PAYE or Umbrella Company.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
NVQ/SVQ level 3 in Mechnical Engineering/Fitting or equivalent

Rolling Stock experience is preferred, however we will accept candidates from a HGV, Aerospace, Heavy Plant Equipment, Military Engineering or similar background.

You will be required to undertake a Mechanical Trades Test and a Drugs & Alcohol test prior to start.

Project:
To work as a member of a team to service, maintain, repair and overhaul rolling stock and equipment. As part of a team, ensure that the fleet is serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner whilst constantly seeking to improve quality.

Project Specifications:
The project will include working on a mixture of 2 and 3 carriage locomotives on a weekly basis:
* Cooler groups Remove /Refit
* Engines Remove /Refit
* Compressors Remove /Refit
* Bogie exchange
* Cardan Shafts Remove /Refit
* Auto couplers Remove /Refit
* Cardan shafts Remove /Refit
* Acu's Remove /Refit

Responsibilities:
Work as directed by and in co-operation with the Production Manager, will comply with:
* All depot protection procedures
* Understand and abide to safety notices, rules and regulations and follow safe working practices, H & S.A.W. and C.O.S.H.H.
* Will adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current standard.
* Work as part of a team, complete or assist in any of the team's activities to ensure work is completed on time to specification.
