Salary: £32,835 per annum rising to £43,780 per annum
35 hours per week
About the role:
We are looking to recruit a Plant and Facilities team member, in this role you will carry out the servicing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of plant installations, components, buildings and infrastructure. This includes servicing, fault finding, installation/modifications to plant equipment and planning your workload.
You will need to be reporting into the Facilities Supervisor and undertaking any work as required and advise them of all work arising and report any difficulties encountered.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in the development of routine maintenance instructions and schedules
*Carry out work in connection with new works contracts for small to plant
*Fault diagnosis
*Determine the workload priorities with the Facilities Supervisor to ensure that the work is progressed
*An understanding of IT and computer systems, inputting data, setting up plant maintenance block cards and maintenance requirements
Please note that the location for this role is Allerton but there will be expectations to cover Blackpool and the outstations.
About you:
We are looking for highly motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals. To fulfil this your greatest strength will be working as part of a team and strong electrical and mechanical skills. Applicants should have the practical ability and understanding of plumbing, building, mechanical and electrical principles, plant, systems and techniques, including schematics (air, hydraulic and electrical). You will be an excellent communicator and have good technical abilities.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
*Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 - Electrical qualification and experience preferred
*Work as part of a team also and as an individual to achieve workload and show initiative where necessary.
*Adhere to working and safety instructions
*Be flexible, versatile and have ability to successfully complete further competency training as required *Minimum qualification NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline
*Good communication skills
*Strong interpersonal skills
