My client a Tier 1 Main contractor within the Rail sector are looking to recruit a Controller to work alongside an existing team in their Central Rail control Room.
The Central Rail Systems Alliance Control Room function is to support the Central Rail Systems Alliance group staff resolve operating issues and incidents. To report in a clear and concise manner to all Stakeholders and Industry Partners. To work in Partnership with Network Rail Route Controls and the SCO 24:7.
* 3 Oncall in the event of disruption.
* Produce reports and supporting data to agreed specifications and co-ordinate the provision of other necessary control information to defined timescales.
* Monitor TRUST data with regards to train delay attribution by carrying out data integrity checks and informing relevant business partners of any TDA allocated to CRSA.
The suitable candidate will be expected to undertake tasks without direct supervision working with one or more other controllers
Experience required;
- Disciplined work ethic with attention to detail - Essential
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely - Essential
- Rail Industry Experience
- Proficient in IT using Outlook, Excel - Essential
Project Overview
Central Rail Systems Alliance - Control Room
* Collate and disseminate information from site to provide real time information to customers internal and external through our communications systems.
* Attend / Chair Conference Calls as required.
* Produce Site Reporting templates in line with Depot Readiness Packs.
* Update & Maintain the site reporting & stakeholder templates.
* Monitor haulage in real time and liaise with SCO and route control as required. Review POM reports.
* Update & Maintain the Control Exceptions Register capturing safety, infrastructure and performance events.
* Work closely with the Control Manager in the management of information flows within / out of the control organisation.
* Call out staff and co-ordinate, as directed by Control Manager or Level 3 Oncall in the event of disruption.
* Produce reports and supporting data to agreed specifications and co-ordinate the provision of other necessary control information to defined timescales.
* Monitor TRUST data with regards to train delay attribution by carrying out data integrity checks and informing relevant business partners of any TDA allocated to CRSA.
