My client manage, scope, programme and plan all types of track maintenance and renewals activities including:
Enhanced Track Renewals,Corrective Maintenance, Rail Transposition, Train Arrestor Installation, Spot Re-Sleepering, Re-Railing, Track Reconditioning, Wet Bed Remediation, Points and Crossings,
Holding Down Bolts, Stressing, Pit-Block Replacement, Conductor Rail Replacement, Life Extension Works
Your requirements:
A FRC Controller to provide management of faults on the East London Line and managing any infrastructure faults on West Anglia stations
· Provide rapid fault management ensuring that any infrastructure faults are dealt with quickly and efficiently, liaising with Network Rail, Arriva Rail London and other stakeholders to prioritise faults.
· Fault initiation including acquiring all key information required to identify location, likely equipment and impact.
· Ensure that all equipment/systems faults are recorded in Asset Management Information System.
· Prioritise the fault, identify the responsible maintainer and notify the appropriate fault response team.
· Monitor progress regarding time to attend on site, likely time to fix and likely cause and damage categories.
· Supply fault teams with relevant information such as previous fault history, last maintenance inspection and any associated equipment or systems information.
· Record comprehensive completion details, including time of return to service, cause and damage codes together with any component or spares usage.
· Actively chase open faults in AMIS for updated details/closures.
· Arrange for Fire Isolations as necessary as per procedure LO-MS- <phone number removed> .
· Arrange joint meetings between stakeholder/asset managers when necessary to progress fault to resolution.
· Provide input to fault management review meetings (by phone only) and weekly performance telephone conference calls.
· Mobilise and liaise with TfL Emergency Response Unit and arrange COSS support with LO where necessary.
· Have Excellent Communication skills and provide regular updates and record updates for ongoing faults.
Experience
Previous experience in a railway technical discipline, including HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline and/or relevant experience in supervisory/management role in a relevant discipline
Broad knowledge and experience in the maintenance of railway systems, infrastructure assets and safety requirements
Good working knowledge of fault control processes and practices and ability to prioritise actions
Ability to make decision regarding failures and incidents and, when required, ensuring work continues to programme whilst remaining calm in high pressure situations
Ability to use Asset Management databases
A strong ability to prioritise tasks and recognise safety and operations impacts of accidents and failures
Strong IT skills (MS Office, ERP systems
