Responsibilities
Plan and schedule all material transactions using computer-aided programs to minimise inventory and ensure a controlled release of material to maintain production needs.
Generate and maintain PBOM, LOB and Action Trackers
Responsible for the creation of detailed purchasing and validation plans
Responsible in identifying kitting requirements and develop and manage storage media for all consumable material at point of use.
Responsible for order placement
Co-ordination of supplier start up meetings and management of any resulting actions
Responsible to interface with other functions/departments with regard to all emerging material issues and project risks and generate / manage agreed action plans accordingly.
Plan material delivery requirements with the core overhaul team to develop delivery kits to provide the required material at all stages of production.
Design material footprints where required to ensure all delivered kitted material is decanted and stored in a safe and secure environment.
Ensure (expediting) material Kits are delivered in compliance with the respective overhaul schedule.
Generate a system with kit suppliers that constantly reviews current stock levels to maintain kit availability.
Provide action plans where necessary to resolve all material shortages prior to kit being required.
Set up and manage all contingency spare requirements during overhaul.
Attend weekly / daily production meetings during overhaul programme as and when required.
Ensure Inventory is maintained within business guide lines during overhauls through scheduled deliveries
Responsible for the requirement of ACOP 1003 with regard to Safety Critical material through new part purchase or overhauls - To include CSR's and FAI's
Generate KPI's and manage accordingly
Ensure core material is not compromised throughout a planned overhaul (float management)
Be an active participant and represent Supply Chain within the top level special projects management team when required
To provide Supply Chain support for any reasonable identified activities / requirements.
Knowledge & Experience
- Ability to make decisions. Sense of urgency
- Team spirit approach and good communication skills
- Good practices of costing, planning, risk management
- Resilience
- Materials controller experience desirable
