A Materials Support Operator is required to assist on a large project on a 5-month contract for a leading Rail company in Manchester.

The successful applicant should have a minimum of an FLT Counterbalance licence, though Reach is desirable!

Hours & Pay
48 hours per week, must be able to work day and night shifts.

£14.82/hour - days
£15.86/hour - nights

All breaks are paid!

Qualifications & Experience
* Good written and oral skills.
* Good organisational and planning skills.
* FLT (Counterbalance) as a minimum
* FLT (Reach) desired
* Methodical & disciplined
* Using lifting equipment within a warehouse capacity
* Good knowledge of stores operations in a maintenance/tooling business.

Purpose of the Job
To ensure all stock is stored in good condition, in correct locations to correct standards, to fully satisfy all auditable procedures placed upon the stores function.

Objectives
To work with the Production Supply Leader and Team Members to deliver:
* Stock Accuracy
* Material Supply
* Efficient Internal Logistics
* Bogie movements from warehouse to work shop

Responsibilities
* Work as directed by the Materials Coordinator.
* Ensure security of Stores & Tool Stores.
* Ensure accurate booking in/out of stock and purchase order/goods received processes.
* Carry out regular stock checks using the Physical Inventory process.
* Ensure accurate booking in/out of tools, which may include calibrated equipment. Report any loss or damage to Materials Coordinator.
* Delivery of materials to point of use as required.
* Delivery and collection of parts to and from local workshops (Repair Centres)
* Carry out required Line Of Route activities for both 5S & Lineside

You will be subject to a Drug and Alcohol test prior to start.
