We are looking for several reliable and punctual individuals to join a key client as a Train Driver, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a number of exciting Freight projects.
Working as a Train Driver, your greatest strengths will be your concentration skills, your ability to work on your own for long periods of time, whilst being able to react and adapt to different situations using your knowledge of rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
To drive traction units in a safe, punctual and economical manner, in accordance with the rules, regulations and company instructions.
Train preparation
Shunting
Coupling and uncoupling
Train examination
Work within Possession or T3 On Network or Off Network
Fueling and watering of locomotives
Basic locomotive fault finding and guided repair under engineering supervision
Cleaning of locomotive windscreens, lights, high visibility panels and cabs
Customer administration and liaison
On call commitment.
Liaise with Ground Staff, signalers, and contractors to ensure customer requirements are met and trains arrive on time.
Qualifications
• Current, Valid European Train Driving License
• Current, Valid Driving License
• Possess two years of operational train driving experience.
• Hold a clean safety record
• Have existing extensive route knowledge.
• Knowledge of locomotives <phone number removed>
