Job Title - Possession & SSOWP Section Planner
Location - Birmingham International
Rates - £200 per day
About the role / project:
To cover the West Coast, mainline and West Midlands areas from a planning point of view. Daily work delivery covering signalling projects. Required to create and submit worksites requests using PPS (Possession Planning System) and the production of SSOWPs.
The planner will cover the West Midlands & Chilterns and West Coast Mail Line South Area - geographical knowledge of these areas would be useful.
What you will do:
1 Plan and optimise all agreed work activities for the section.
2 Accurately update systems, databases and records as required.
3 Produce Safe System of Work plans.
4 Submit green zone access and isolation requests.
5 Produce draft quarterly plans (SSOWPS)
6 Create / Submit Access requests via PPS
7 Manage weekly Plan-Do-Review meetings.
8 Represent Works Delivery Managers at planning meetings.
9 Collate and maintain infrastructure maintenance records.
Your experience will include:
* Work Plan production and resource optimisation skills
* Scheduling profile in work planning/scheduling system
* Core Planning Skills Level 2
* Knowledge of access and possession processes and systems
* Safe System of Work Planning Process and System
* Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
Essential:
* Rail experience
* Possession Planning System experience
* SSOWP (Safe System of Work Planning) experience
* Ideally have PTS or held PTS previously
