We are now looking for a Competence and Training Coordinator to support our CAT Manager and Directors in the management of elements of the Competence and Training Management.
Responsibilities:
  • Arrange and co-ordinate all aspects Technical and Non-Technical Training Courses for OSL staff.
  • Monitor and update OSL Competence databases and trackers and provide reports to the CAT Manager and Directors as requested.
  • Arrange and deliver CAT elements of new starter inductions.
  • Manage the OSL Trainee and Graduate program, including liaison with HR, Line Managers, and external training providers.
  • Support the OSL Non-Technical Skills training and assessment strategy.
  • Arrange training courses with internal and external parties, and communicate logistics and documentation for the delivery of Training Courses, liaising with Discipline Heads and Line Managers as necessary.
  • Support OSL Line Managers in the completion of Personal Appraisals.
  • Support the IRSE Assessing Agent Manager in the monitoring and progression of IRSE License assessments for safety critical staff.
  • Single point of contact for internal staff, clients, suppliers and contractors on all matters relating to Training & Competence of staff.
  • Single point of contact/support/advice to Managers and all employees for any Training & Competence related issues.
  • Support the CAT Manager, Directors, and HSQE team in the delivery and monitoring of safety and Q&E training for all OSL employees.
  • Assist in the delivery of staff briefings and undertaking of internal audits and Safety and Quality & Environmental tours/inspections.
  • Apply the mandatory requirements of Railway Group and Network Rail Company Standards.
Experience
  • Appreciation of Railway (Safety Critical Works) Regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of Railway Group and Network Rail Company Standards specifically related to Competence Assurance in the Rail Industry.
  • Excellent administration and time management skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite of software
  • Good communicator
