Rolling Stock Expert - GCC

EWI are supporting a leading European consultancy firm renowned for their expertise in delivering high profile rail projects across the globe. They are currently searching for a highly skilled Rolling Stock Expert to join their team for exciting rail projects based in GCC Region

As a Rolling Stock Expert, you will provide overall management and direction for the Rolling Stock on the project. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful design, manufacture, and commissioning of rolling stock, working closely with multiple disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with client requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management and direction of Rolling Stock on the project.
• Produce and assist with technical documents related to Rolling Stock, including design, tender documents, and technical memos.
• Conduct factory inspections during different stages of manufacture to ensure compliance.
• Address and provide solutions to technical queries from the contractor during all stages of design, manufacture, and commissioning.
• Perform design review activities to ensure all Client requirements are met.
• Report major issues or potential conflicts.
• Ensure approval of technical details and samples for internal stakeholders.
• Lead the resolution of all design and technical issues related to the rolling stock.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on technical matters to Senior and Executive Management.
• Provide regular progress updates on the resolution of outstanding issues.
• Coordinate with multiple discipline leads on technical matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 15 years of related rail project experience, including involvement in design, manufacture, testing, and commissioning.
• Proven managerial capabilities with excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
• Experience working in the GCC region
