The purpose of this role is to work as part of the Traincrew Diagramming Team in the production of traincrew diagrams in a timely and cost effective manner ensuring efficiency and performance targets are met. The role will work on both the Long Term and Amended or Short Term Train plan.

Responsibilities:

• Able to make decisions based on knowledge, experience and guidelines contained within the Rules of Plan, and Traincrew Terms & Conditions of Service
• Ensure traincrew diagrams are produced within all planning timescales for both STP and LTP.
• Build a relationship of trust with Driver and Senior Conductor Management Team and Rosters.
• Provision of traincrew diagram to meet depot requirements
• Assist in development of future traincrew diagrams
• Ensure knowledge of Rules of Plan, Rules of Route and Traincrew Terms and Conditions of Service is kept up to date

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Good knowledge of Microsoft office software, including Word, Access and Excel.
• Thorough knowledge of Voyager Plan Software System
• Understanding of the rail industry
• An understanding of all planning activities
• Knowledge of operations and geography
• Previous experience of a train planning environment is desirable
