We require a Training Manager of the highest calibre to join the CAF Rail UK team, based in the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business and build your career with a company with strong principles and over 100 years industry leading experience.
The ideal candidate will be the subject matter expert responsible for leading the development and implementation of relevant competency management standards, systems and processes relevant to the training delivery and competence assessment programmes, ensuring that the company performance requirements are delivered.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- The development, management and continual review of CAF Rail UK Competency Management System.
- Maintaining all training records and updating the skills matrix.
- Development of e-learning modules.
- Co-ordinate the creation and delivery of technical and operational training to meet the business needs.
- Ensure that all training complies with legislation, standards and good practice.
- Manage all aspects of the training budget.
- Carry out risk based training needs analyses.
- Develop training courses to meet identified specifications.
- Provide technical assistance for company selection and recruitment activities.
- Continually maintain and improve training documentation.
- Carry out formal assessments to determine the competence of safety critical staff.
- Carry out training and assessment validation, evaluation and standardisation exercises as required.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities.
- The development of client Training Plans, delivery of client training courses, training materials, training aids (with support from key suppliers and CAF specialists).
REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS:
- Educated to HNC/D level in a relevant field
- Train the Trainer Qualification
- A1 (D32/33) NVQ Assessor qualification preferred
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Significant working experience in a similar role in a modern manufacturing or engineering environment with an excellent knowledge of, machine operations, assembly and maintenance activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of rail industry standards and equipment including operational safety and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Experience developing and delivering training to all levels of staff.
- Project management skills.
- Excellent report writing.
- Demonstrate high level of inter-personal and communication skills to ensure understanding and to influence positive change/outcomes.
