Current Opportunity: Assistant Buyer
Location: Birmingham
To assist with procurement activities. To support Procurement Managers and Senior Buyers in the procurement of works which deliver customer priorities and ensure value is maximised.
Essential Experience:
• Supporting the procurement teams with tendering, market analysis, supplier selection, risk and opportunity assessments, forecasting requirements
• Carrying out supplier evaluations and commercial checks for suppliers and past performance
• Facilitate an efficient and compliant process for all material and plant procurement
• Support the development of procurement plans and packaging strategies
• Assist in the development of efficient value-added reports
• Focus on exceeding minimum service expectations by delivering an agile, value adding service with a deep understanding of customer requirements, technical competence, functional knowledge and process efficiency
