Job Introduction
Supporting the MEP Commercial package manager to provide commercial administration support.
This role requires good communication and customer facing skills are a must, along with working as part of a team promoting our JV culture and values. The successful candidate will consider problems as a challenge, collecting information relevant to the problem, be disciplined in ascertaining the root cause, identify and develop a practical solution, communicate the findings and implement action to resolve the problem.

Role Responsibility
- Assist with Main Contract management and administration
- Support in supply chain management & administration
- Assist and undertake cost capture and cost control
- Assist in Commercial reporting, producing where required your own reports.
- Assist with Change Control with both subcontractors and Customer
- Ability to carry our measurement in line with industry standards.
- Support in the provision of project metrics reporting
- Will be required to prepare enquiries, analysing tenders, including the negotiation and management of allocated sub-contractor accounts including orders, payments & final accounts in accordance with company procedures.
- Provide line manager assistance in ensuring the necessary internal and external periodic valuations and reports are prepared and issued in line with deadlines
- Assisting to ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues.
- Playing a key role in capturing, managing and communicating change on the project, cost capture, allocation of costs.
- Being proactive in self-development and professional qualification.
- Carrying out sub-contractor performance reviews on allocated subcontractors.
- Contributing to Value management / value engineering.
The Ideal Candidate
- RICS/CICES accredited Degree (or equivalent but not a must)
- Has good excel skills
- Can adapt to new and evolving tasks
- Has good presentation skills
- Can manage their own workload.
- Has a basic legal, contractual and construction knowledge and experience

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
