An Ecologist is required to join a vibrant and charismatic team, with the company’s Head Quarters based in Staffordshire. This is a hybrid role combining fieldwork and site visits with office-based tasks, offering a varied and rewarding workload. The successful candidate will support a wide range of ecology-related activities across multiple rail contracts throughout the UK, with a particular focus on projects in the South of England and Wales.
You will play a key role in leading, advising, and upskilling the business on mitigation strategies for protected species, including dormice, otters, great crested newts, and badgers.

Ecologist - REQUIREMENTS - Essential
- Experience on rail projects
- Valid PTS (or previously held)
- Full UK driving licence
Ecologist – REQUIREMENTS – Desirable
- Experience working with dormouse, GCN, badger, or otter
- BS 42020 / CIEEM membership

- Bachelors Degree Hons or equivalent
