
HSE Advisor
Our client is a multidisciplinary infrastructure contractor providing engineering services to the UK rail network.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HSE professional who is looking to develop their career further within the rail infrastructure industry
The Role:
The successful candidate will be site based and must be prepared to travel to our sites throughout the UK. You will ideally have experience of working and providing support on a range of rail engineering and maintenance projects.
You will be responsible for working closely with site management teams and workforce in giving support and guidance to maintain a high standard of health, safety, and environmental management within the business and contributing to improving safety culture. You will assist with the preparation and development of risk assessments, conduct site inspections, suggest improvements, provide advice on any issue relating to HSQE matters and provide regular reports.
The successful candidate will be confident and able to discuss a wide range of HSQE related topics with the workforce and senior management and promote best practice and a positive culture.
Required:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- PTS
- Member of IOSH
- Experience of working with and providing HSE support to a range of rail engineering and maintenance projects
- An understanding of safety, environmental & quality management systems
- An understanding of behavioral change implementation
Desirable:
- Internal Auditor Qualification
- ISEP (IEMA) membership
- CSCS Card
- First Aider
Salary range
- £40,000 - £60,000 per year
