Current Opportunity: Immigration Manager
Location: Birmingham
Role description:
The Immigration Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the HR function, with a focus on managing immigration processes and ensuring compliance with visa and sponsorship requirements.
- Manage and supervise a coordinator to ensure immigration data is regularly updated, including planned sponsorships and visa expiry dates.
- Welcome new international joiners and ensure completion of all required HR documentation.
- Facilitate employee orientation and integration into project teams.
- Provide support in employee relations matters involving international staff.
- Liaise with parent companies and the Home Office to arrange visas and sponsorships for project personnel.
- Monitor changes in immigration law, policies, and procedures, providing early warnings and updates to the HR Senior Leadership Team (HRSLT)
- Participate in HR audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Essential Experience:
- Experience of global mobility and working with an ex-patriate workforce is a plus
- Experience in managing
- Understanding of BBV visa strategy
- Strong management and leadership abilities, particularly in multicultural and diverse team environments.
- In-depth knowledge of UK immigration laws and sponsorship processes, with practical experience in visa handling and compliance.
- Fluency in English is essential; French language skills are a valuable asset.
