HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Current Opportunity: People Services Coordinator– HR

Location:

Based at Fort Dunlop – this location sits on the eastern edge of Birmingham, adjacent to the M6 motorway, providing excellent transport links into the city and across the region. Fort Dunlop serves as a key hub within IPT Area North, supporting operations that span multiple sublots and regional activities. Its strategic position makes it an important point for coordination and access, with proximity to major infrastructure routes ensuring connectivity to both the Central Region and wider project areas.

Role description:

• Processing transactional HR requests i.e. starters/leavers/contractual changes in line with agreed SLA's.

• Supporting managers and colleagues on a day-to-day basis advising on policy related HR queries as submitted through the BBV HR system.

• Ensure accurate colleague records are maintained on the HR System.

• Complete regular data checks to ensure all personal and job-related data is accurate and there are no gaps in information.

• Support with cyclical HR activities such as annual salary review.

• Responsible for managing communication with parent company HR teams for payroll.

• Being main point of contact for HR queries for Parent company and project.

• Provide support to employees on HR system navigation and self-service functionalities including occasional travel to sites to provide the in person HR support.

Essential Experience:

• Excellent MS Office skills

• Strong oral communication, listening, and writing skills with the ability to present updates and contribute actively in team meetings

• Ability to plan and prioritise work in a rapidly changing environment whilst ensuring deadlines are met

• Collaborative team player, able to work effectively and efficiently on multiple transactions in a team environment

• Ability to recognise and handle sensitive/confidential information

• Ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues and internal customers

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proactive approach to identity and resolve issues
