Current Opportunity: Planning Manager – Planning & Project Controls
Location:
Based in Coventry - the South Region comprises Sublots 2B, 2A and 1A Long Itchington Wood. It stretches for approximately 39.2km from Finham Brook to Southam through a mixture of rural and suburban landscapes
Role description:
• Management of planning function of a Sub Lot.
• Management of the production and maintenance of working programme.
• Produce and maintain Clause 32 monthly programme.
• Ensure production of detailed Sub Lot programmes (in Synchro).
• Review Sub-contractors Clause 31 and Clause 32 programmes.
• Monitor progress against plan and review in light of it.
• Advise implementation team of logic and communicate amendments.
• Lead production of process maps with Sub Lot Manager.
• Ensure the production of ‘As Built’ data.
• To establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers, senior management, partners and delivery teams.
Essential Experience:
- Advanced planning & project controls expertise within large, complex construction and engineering environments, including performance reporting, tendering, contract documentation, and change/delay entitlement analysis.
- Strong computer literacy with expert use of Primavera (all versions), Microsoft Project, and MS Office (Word/Excel).
- Substantial on‑site experience, including time spent as a senior discipline planner, with a solid understanding of construction methods, plant, equipment, labour requirements, and market conditions.
- High‑level analytical, reporting, and presentation skills, demonstrating sound logic, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate complex planning and performance information.
- Proven leadership capability, including experience in risk and opportunity management, coaching, mentoring, and developing planning and project controls professionals.
