We're seeking skilled PTS-qualified Electricians to join a leading rail infrastructure specialist delivering essential electrical services on the West Coast Main Line.

Role Overview You'll carry out both reactive and planned maintenance on electrical systems across a variety of busy rail stations and associated infrastructure. The work spans from Euston through to Luton, focusing on high-profile, operational sites where reliability and safety are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fault finding, repair, and maintenance of station electrical installations (lighting, power, small power, emergency systems, etc.)
  • Planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • Responding to reactive call-outs to minimise service disruption
  • Working safely in live rail environments in accordance with all Network Rail standards
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance and quality delivery

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) accreditation (essential)
  • Time-served electrician qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or fault rectification
  • Rail sector background advantageous but not mandatory if you have strong commercial/industrial electrical experience and are willing to adapt
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
  • Strong safety focus and ability to work methodically under time pressure

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly/day rates (aligned with current rail industry standards — attractive earnings potential with overtime and shift premiums)
  • Long-term, ongoing work on one of the UK's busiest rail corridors
  • Opportunities for additional rail accreditations and career progression
  • Supportive site teams and focus on quality workmanship
  • Work that directly supports the travelling public and keeps the railway moving

If you're a reliable, safety-conscious PTS Electrician looking for stable, varied rail maintenance work on the WCML without the uncertainty of short-term contracts, we'd like to hear from you.
