We are looking for a number of experienced and motivated Earthworks Supervisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in civil engineering and earthworks who takes pride in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day site operations, leading site teams, and ensuring work is completed on time with the highest consideration for Health & Safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all earthworks activities on site.
- Lead and coordinate site operatives, plant operators, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and current legislation.
- Carry out daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
- Ensure RAMS are followed and updated where required.
- Record daily progress, plant usage, labour, and site activities.
- Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the workforce.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience supervising large-scale earthworks or civil engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of bulk earthworks, cut and fill operations, muck shift, drainage, and site logistics.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read drawings and work to programme.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Valid SSSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work
- EUSR (preferred)
