Rate: £500 per day
Contract Length: Approximately 2 years

Role Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Construction Engineering Manager to support the delivery of a major rail infrastructure programme in Cardiff.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, created due to the current postholder moving on. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the engineering assurance and coordination of civil engineering works across the programme, with a particular focus on track interfaces and public realm construction.
The role would suit a CEM with a strong civil engineering background who has previously worked on complex multidisciplinary rail projects.

Key Responsibilities
·Provide construction engineering leadership across civil, track and public realm work packages.
·Coordinate interfaces between track, civils, highways, utilities, drainage and public realm activities.
·Maintain compliance with Network Rail standards, project procedures and relevant CDM requirements.
·Provide technical input into meetings, progress reviews and stakeholder discussions.

Essential Experience
·Previous experience working as a CEM
·Strong civil engineering background within the rail industry.
·Experience delivering complex rail infrastructure or multidisciplinary construction projects.
·Good understanding of track construction and its interfaces with civil engineering works.
·Experience overseeing public realm, highways, drainage, utilities or urban infrastructure works.

Desirable Experience
·Experience delivering station, light rail, metro or city-centre rail infrastructure.
·Chartered Engineer status or membership of a relevant professional institution.
