
Job Introduction
We currently have a vacancy for a Supply Chain Auditor within our Business Compliance & Audit team here at SCS Railways.
About the role:
Working as part of the Business Compliance and Audit Team, the Supply Chain Auditor will plan and conduct audits on the supply chain to provide assurance of compliance to all relevant requirements including Subcontract Works Information (SWIs). The Supply Chain Auditor will work with the Supply Chain Quality and Procurement Teams to measure and report on Supply Chain Performance and to assist in establishing supply chain assurance procedures and processes. The role involves audits both on and off-site.

Role Responsibility
- Understand the Client and SCSJV’s Policies, Processes, Works Information, statutory requirements and ensure that the set requirements are adopted and effectively implemented on the project.
- Support the Head of Business Compliance and Audit in the development of the Audit Programme.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct supply chain audits at their facilities or at project sites as per the audit programme.
- Where required, conducting internal audits to support the delivery of the internal audit programme
- Manage the daily activities of supply chain assurance process; writing management and technical reports, audits report and records of non-conformance, analysing and distributing audit and statistical information.
- Supports activities related to continuous improvement in collaboration with the Quality, HSW, Environment, Procurement and Delivery teams to identify supplier training and development needs. Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality.
- Work with other functions on the project to develop and deliver a Supply Chain Performance report which provides an overview of supplier’s performance across a range of measures.
- To report to the Head of Business Compliance and Audit and provide detailed weekly / monthly reports relating to all planned and recently conducted supply chain audits, identifying key issues where required.
- Support in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the project’s management systems.
- Ensuring good relations and communications with all members of the team and responding politely and in a timely fashion to internal and external customers.
- Working with all members of staff to maintain and develop the positive progressive culture within the team.
The Ideal Candidate
- Internal and External Audit training and minimum of 5 years practical cumulative experience.
- Experience in auditing civil engineering/construction projects.
- Good knowledge and practical experience of developing, implementing, maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems to ISO 9001. Knowledge of other Management Systems (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001) is desired.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively using own initiative.
- Good understanding of the construction market.
- Experience of Supply Chain Performance Management and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment.

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
