Position: RAMS Manager – Major Rail Infrastructure Programme
Location: Canada

Salary: US$140000 - US$150000 per annum

Location: Ontario, Canada
Contract Duration: Contract through to at least December 2027, with potential for extension.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced RAMS Manager to join a high-profile rail infrastructure programme in Canada.

This role offers the chance to take a lead position on a complex, large-scale transit project, working alongside a highly respected international engineering team and playing a key role in the successful delivery of one of the country's most significant rail programmes.

With a secured pipeline of work through at least December 2027, this position provides both long-term stability and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on a landmark transportation project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety) activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement RAMS strategies, plans and assurance processes.
  • Manage RAMS requirements and performance targets across multiple rail systems.
  • Oversee safety assurance, risk assessments, hazard management and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate with systems engineering, design, testing and commissioning teams.
  • Review and approve contractor and supplier RAMS deliverables.
  • Interface directly with clients, stakeholders and project leadership teams.
  • Support systems integration and operational readiness activities.
  • Lead and mentor RAMS engineers within the project team.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in RAMS, Systems Assurance or Safety Assurance within the rail sector.
  • Proven delivery experience on metro, LRT, commuter rail, heavy rail or high-speed rail projects.
  • Strong knowledge of EN50126, EN50128 and EN50129.
  • Experience with FMECA, FTA, FRACAS, RAM modelling and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Previous experience on large-scale transportation infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
