Senior MEP Commercial Manager
A leading power generation company is expanding it’s UK operations and is looking to secure the services of a Senior MEP Commercial Manager to oversee its group of companies.
You will be manging teams of QS, financial, cost and support staff across dozens of live sites, reporting straight to the board.
The Senior MEP Commercial Manager will be providing overarching commercial management to support the Central Group of Companies consisting of: -
- Mechanical Engineering on/ off site
- Control Systems
- Project Management & Design
- To safeguard commercial interests of the company by managing and controlling commercial risk
- Contributing to the delivery of the projects across the Group in a timely, efficient, sustainable, and safe manner whilst achieving commercial targets
- To run all commercial aspects of Projects from procurement to final account
Essential Requirements for Senior MEP Commercial Manager
- A suitable Degree or Diploma, MRICS is preferable
- Prior Business Management experience is advantageous
- Ability to prepare professional, contractually correct and grammatically correct written documentation (e.g. letters, notices, reports etc.)
- Good IT skills (ability to utilise computer programmes (Excel, Word etc.) to undertake duties
- Ability to use Outlook (or equivalent) for the preparation of e-mails etc.
- Good timekeeping
- Professional appearance (appropriate to working environment: site, office etc.)
- Courteous, adaptable and enthusiastic
- Ability to verbally communicate (including by phone) effectively with individuals at all levels, including clients and their senior managers.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate team members for which an individual is responsible
- Understanding of the importance of health and safety in relation to your working environment
- Thorough understanding of, and ability to apply / administer the contractual provisions on contracts relevant to the projects and individual is involved with.
- Good – excellent understanding of mechanical, fabrication, electrical and control systems
- Good – excellent understanding of core quantity surveying duties (e.g. payment applications, measurement and pricing of variations etc.)
- Ability to develop and maintain good client relationships at a level appropriate to role.
