Job title: Field Service Engineer - Automatic / Industrial Doors
Job location: East Midlands
Salary: Basic Circa £30kpa basic + overtime + uplifts + on call
Working for a leading national doors manufacturer within the Service team you will be covering planned preventative maintenance and failure call outs at client sites within the East Midlands.
You will diagnose, quantify and cost all repairs and provide a professional and reactive service to meet customer needs. You will ensure that all relevant paperwork relating to call outs is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
Company Van, Fuel card & PPE provided alongside specialist tooling. We would expect you to have your own basic hand tools.
Overtime is 1.5x Saturdays and double time on Sundays. On call is 1 in 8 weeks with a £15 standby payment and a £15 + 3 hour call out payment.
Minimum of 40 hours working week guaranteed - regardless of the work that comes in. Flexible start and finish times to meet client needs & travel times.
Hourly basic rate of £12-14.50 DOE.
Specific product training is provided.
Person Profile
*Good customer service skills
*Flexible and able to work to deadlines and forecast work times accurately to ensure all work targets can be met or redistributed within the team accordingly
*Confident Engineer who is comfortable with lone working on site
*Strong communicator - must be able to communicate the issues and solutions with clients and within the team internally
Qualifications
*Must have an NVQ level 3 or apprenticeship in any relevant engineering discipline. E.g. mechanical, electrical, door systems etc.
*Must have a valid driver's licence
*Must have previous experience of industrial doors.
