Asset Engineer (Drainage)

Contract: 6 months

Location: Kent & Sussex

£446 per day

We’re seeking an experienced Asset Engineer (Drainage) to support drainage asset management and maintenance activities across the Southern Region.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring drainage assets are effectively examined, evaluated, and maintained to meet safety and operational standards.

Working Pattern: Minimum 2 days per week in London office or equivalent site visits

Essential Skills & Experience

• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience in drainage or hydrology, ideally within infrastructure or rail environments.
• Strong knowledge of drainage policies, standards, and maintenance practices.
• Understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
• Awareness of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
• Working towards professional membership with a relevant institution.
• PTS and Health & Safety Sentinel competencies required.

Desirable

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
