An excellent job opportunity for a Digital Engineer (BIM) to work in Somerset on one of Europes largest projects with a project value worth over £2.8 billion.
This will be working for two of Europe's most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, who are working together in a joint venture to deliver the main civil engineering on the amazing project.
This sensational project has already broken the UK record for the largest continuous concrete pour of 9,000m3 of concrete!
What will you be doing?
Production of construction information - models and drawings
Key requirements:
Software Knowledge:
Trimble SketchUp, TrimbleConnect, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, AECOsim, ProjectWise, Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Autodesk 3ds Max, Microsoft Project, Visio.

What will you be doing?
Production of construction information - models and drawings
- Generation of site plans, access routes and pour sequences etc. in 2D and 3D.
- Modelling of temporary installations, plant and site hoarding will have to be produced as necessary to be used in 4D sequencing and for coordination.
- 4D sequencing to program (linking to Primavera P6 or Microsoft project via Navis Works).
- Develop and maintain a 3D library of custom and third-party suppliers components containing relevant attribute data for use by site teams in their federated models.
- Coordinating all BYLOR and third-party models into federated models as required by site and planning teams.
Key requirements:
- Experience of civil engineering on large complex projects
- 2+ years experience
- HND in Engineering or above - preferred
- Good communication skills
- Ability to present to team and co-workers
- Builds an effective team
- Ensures timely decision making, driven off data
- Presents a professional image
- Seeks to minimise waste in resources and materials
- Demonstrates commitment to work to processes
- Inspires, challenges, and motivates others
- Promotes the values of the project
- Experience of using 2D and 3D cad packages.
