Dispute Board Contract Specialist Rail - Philippines

Overview:

EWI, the world leading Infrastructure specialist is seeking an experienced Dispute Board Contract Specialist to support a high-profile, donor-funded rail project in the Philippines. This long-term position will be embedded within an international consultancy, acting on behalf of the end client to manage and resolve disputes across multiple work packages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the client in all Dispute Board and arbitration proceedings.
• Lead the resolution of complex contractual disputes, with a strong focus on land acquisition-related issues.
• Coordinate with legal teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to prepare documentation and strategy.
• Advise on dispute avoidance and mitigation strategies across various packages.
• Ensure compliance with donor regulations and local legal frameworks.
• Maintain detailed records of dispute history, outcomes, and lessons learned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in dispute resolution, arbitration, or contract management on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and donor-funded project frameworks.
• Prior exposure to land acquisition disputes is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to be based in the Philippines for the duration of the project.

Package:

The package is expected to be in the region of $12-13,000 per month tax free with allowances for accommodation, travel etc.
