Lead Safety Assessor - Rail Metro

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is supporting a leading Contractor for a Metro Project in the Middle east and need a Lead Safety Assessor

Role & Responsibilities:

The role of the ISA is to conduct the safety audits and to submit the safety reports to the Employer so that the Authority in charge of authorizing the commercial revenue service of the Metro System is able to grant a Permit to Operate in due time.

In particular, the ISA shall:

• Assess and approve the overall Line Safety Case (including supporting safety activities) for the Design, Installation, Dynamic Tests, Trial Run, and Revenue Service phases;
• Assess the specifications and implementation of temporary Legacy line operation protections for work in the former Depot;
• assess the specifications and implementation of temporary protections to enable mixed operations during the Trial Run: Legacy Line operating with passengers, and the Extension operating without passengers;
• assess the specifications and implementation of provisions for upgrading the OCC (Operations Control Centre);
• manage reviewed documents, submitted comments, received responses, and provide a monthly progress report.

Requirements:

• +10 years relevant experience in light rail or metro
• Demonstrated experience in Safety assessments for complex infrastructure systems
• Hands on experience with MEP, Civil structures, track and transit systems
• Regional experience is beneficial
