Role Overview

Join an international engineering team on a landmark Metro Rail Project in Manila. We are hiring a Resident Engineer for underground metro stations to lead design review and construction supervision. This role represents the General Consultant on behalf of the client, ensuring world-class delivery of railway infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage design review for underground metro stations, including structural and architectural finishing works.
• Supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with railway station design standards and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client teams to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and report regularly to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to international engineering standards and metro rail project specifications.

Requirements

• Civil/Structural Engineering background with strong site-based experience.
• 30-40 years professional experience, including:
• 40% consultancy roles and 50% or more contractor experience.
• Project Expertise:
• Minimum 3 railway stations, including underground stations, covering detailed design and construction supervision.
• Experience in Design-Build railway station projects.
• Education: College graduate or higher in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• International Exposure: Minimum 5 years overseas experience on major infrastructure projects.

Compensation

• Salary: $8,000 - $10,000 tax-free per month
• Additional Allowances: Housing, transport, and other benefits provided

Preferred Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills in multicultural engineering environments.
• Ability to manage complex interfaces between design and construction teams.
• Familiarity with metro rail construction standards, underground station design, and international codes.
