Senior Requirements & Standards Manager - Railway Projects
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Contract Type: Full-time, site-based
Language: Fluent English (written and spoken)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead requirements management and standards compliance for a major railway infrastructure programme. The role involves defining, documenting, and maintaining project requirements and ensuring adherence to international standards and best practices throughout the lifecycle of complex rail projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive requirements documentation and traceability matrices.
- Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure requirements are clearly defined, testable, and compliant.
- Establish and enforce standardised processes aligned with industry regulations and quality standards.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct compliance reviews.
- Manage changes to requirements and standards, including impact assessment and stakeholder communication.
- Provide training and guidance on requirements management and standards compliance.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Rail, or related discipline). Master's degree is an advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum 15 years overall professional experience.
- At least 10 years in railway projects (passenger, mainline, freight, or high-speed rail).
- Metro and LRT experience will not be considered.
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role focused on requirements and standards management.
- Strong knowledge of railway systems, industry regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in a multi-stakeholder environment with international partners.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Willingness to be based on-site in Riyadh.
