Salary: £60,000 pa - £70,000 pa (dependent on the experience)

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in London.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of rail projects, ensuring cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and contractual compliance. This is an office-based position with significant opportunities for career progression within a supportive and ambitious business.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead cost planning, estimating, and value engineering for rail infrastructure projects.

Manage procurement processes, tendering, and contract administration (NEC & JCT forms).

Conduct cost reporting, forecasting, and change management.

Oversee subcontractor accounts, valuations, and final account agreements.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and company procedures.

Provide commercial advice to project teams and stakeholders.

Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the rail sector (or related infrastructure).

Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred).

Experience working with rail clients or contractors is highly desirable.

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (RICS accreditation preferred).

Excellent financial and commercial acumen with strong negotiation skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
