Senior Traction Power Expert - Rail (Vancouver Region)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join major rail and transit infrastructure projects in the Vancouver area. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex systems that have a significant impact on local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver complex electrical engineering tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Extract and interpret engineering information from CAD drawings.
• Prepare engineering calculations, material quantity take-offs, estimates, and designs.
• Produce drawings, specifications, and documentation for procurement and construction.
• Review supplier submissions and perform technical bid evaluations.
• Prepare requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Provide technical guidance to designers and junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations; may require professional engineer seal/signature.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Typically 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer registration may be required or preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD and related engineering software.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and ability to manage complex assignments.
• Willingness to travel or relocate for project needs.
