Overview of the Role:

The Head of Security is responsible for managing daily security activity in coordination with the Security Managers, ensuring the safety and security of staff’s, infrastructure, and operations. Oversees strategic and operational aspects of security, integrating risk management, crisis response, regulatory compliance, and modern technology solutions to maintain secure network services.

• Provide a basis and the grounding for a sound Security Methodology for the Doha Metro and Tram.
• Provide the policies, procedures and security assessments as a basis for the contractor to build their own assessments on.
• Analyse security data and results to produce weekly, periodic and annual reports.
• Managing of security control room & security teams (In-house/outsourced).

Key Accountabilities:

• Representing the company for security stakeholders and partners such as Minsitry of Interior (MOI), Qatar Transport Police and National Control Centre linking with internal services.
• Monitoring allocation and management of security resources in liaison with Sub-contractor’ managers.
• Managing the security budget.
• Managing the Security Subcontractors performance to ensure compliance with the contract and performance KPI with the support of the Commercial Team.
• Liaising with the security subcontractor and employees, managing KPI’s, continually review roles, operational deployments and security measures.
• Participating in the recruitment and manage the development of the security Team.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive and resilient Security Plan, including communication plan and security sites.
• Supporting the Training Manager to define and maintain security awareness and training programs for security personnel and RKH-Qitarat employees as required.
• Supporting the Training Manager in developing, implementing and delivering security inductions and security/ safety education programmes for stations personnel and partners,

Skills and Experience:

• 15 years’ experience in security functions or similar role.
• Experience in the management of security sub-contractors.
• Experience in public transport is a plus.
• Senior Police or Military background is desirable.
• Strong sense of safety and security.
• Degree Level Education is desirable
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills, Arabic is a plus
