Come and join the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) Human Factors Team and help influence and shape the rail industry.
The Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) is an expert body that helps the rail industry continuously improve. The Human Factors Team plays a key role by helping rail companies understand and overcome their Human Factors issues. We work in areas such as: design and introduction of new technology; use of AI and virtual reality for training & development; safety culture and change management; physical ergonomics; collection and analysis of human factors data; consultancy and training.
You will help deliver the full breadth of our human factors work, working with ergonomists, occupational psychologists and applied psychologists. You will be provided with different development opportunities including training courses and conferences as well as mentoring and coaching provided by members of our team.
To be successful, you will be qualified in occupational psychology or Human Factors/ Ergonomics to degree level (at least a bachelor’s degree). You will have the desire to develop expertise in the field of human factors, willingness to be involved in a variety of different human factors projects and be able to demonstrate analytical thinking, communication skills and ability to build relationships. A commitment to RSSB’s values and customer service is also essential to the role.
