Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance Lead in London, National, United Kingdom

As part of a major growth initiative in the EMEA Region, a non-corporate, cash rich and employee owned Engineering Consultancy is investing heavily in their rail systems engineering and delivery capability in the UK.

With a focus on the rail sector, the role will support the Systems Assurance Team Leads and Service Group Managers in further developing their Systems Engineering capability.

As the leader of this new service, you will shape and mould it in line with your vision. You will establish processes and drive best practices You will be thinking ahead and planning strategically within a 1-2 year time horizon. The business is agile, quick moving and open to change. They will support you and your decisions.

This is a hybrid position so you can work from home and the office. You will ideally be able to easily commute to either York or London as these will be the two ‘centres of excellence'. Other office locations are Guildford, Stockport, Leeds, Nottingham, Newcastle, and Ellesmere Port

What do you need to be successful?

  • A degree in a relevant discipline
  • Extensive knowledge of the System Engineering Lifecycle
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of INCOSE SEBoK Principles
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of MBSE
  • Understanding in the application of Systems engineering tools such as DOORS© 9.6 and DOORS© Next Generation
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Asset V-Lifecycle
  • Awareness of System Safety, RAM and Human Factors

Salary would be around 80,000 to 85,000 per annum
